Das aktuelle Kunstschaffen der acht Künstlerinnen und Künstler reagiert aber nicht nur auf die Exotik dieser Gebiete, sondern auch auf den globalen Klimawandel. Diese „Kaltfront“ kontrapunktieren sechzehn weitere Künstlerinnen und Künstler mit individuellen Medien und Aussagen und erweitern das Spektrum dieser Ausstellung. Our „zeitgeist“ is white and infinite, and thus runs our theme for the exhibition in 2010. Even during the warmer months within our latitude, from May to September, our planet remains capped with permanent arctic and antarctic ice. Like polar researchers, more and more artists are working in the polar regions in order to explore in their own way and through the media of photography and film what life is like in these wonderful white and cold realms. The work of these six artists is not simply a reaction to the exoticism of these parts, but also to climate change. Sixteen more artists counter this cold front with their own individual artistic processes and expression, and so extend the thematic range of the exhibition.
